President and Founder
Ken Knox is the President and Founder of Tenzing Advisors. Prior to founding his own firm in 2006, Ken worked for ten years with M Financial Group member firms in New York City and Boston, where he managed all aspects of client relationships. Prior to that, Ken worked as an agent for Connecticut Mutual Life and as a consultant for Mercer Consulting in their NY headquarters.
Ken is very active in industry and community organizations. He served on the board of directors of the Boston Estate Planning Council from 2005-2011, where he also chaired several committees over many years. Ken served on the board of directors of the Boston Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP) from 2006-2008. He is a member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU), the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), and the Society of Financial Service Professionals. He currently serves on the Professional Advisors Committee of the The Boston Foundation.
Ken graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1990. He is an Accredited Estate Planner®, a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). Ken has over 20 years of experience in the life insurance industry.
Ken and his two children, Katie and Tyler, live in the suburbs outside Boston. Ken enjoys music and has been an avid athlete most of his life, but a great deal of his time is now occupied by his kids’ many athletic and cultural pursuits.
